What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX
I'm considering adopting my sister when she turns 18. It has occurred to me, though, that I will be leaving the state and she will still be here for school. If she is considered my dependent and I change my state residence will she be able to keep her TX residency (for college tuition purposes), or would her residency change based on mine?
