What is the name of your state? california

my mother and stepfather married when i was 3. i dont think my stepfather ever formally adopted me however on all legal documents he put me as his daughter and i put him as my father. now he is ill. am i his legal daughter? please help. any info would be greatly appreicated
also my parents divorced. they had a will together. is that will still valid or is it void??

Unless he adopted you, you are NOT his legal heir if he dies without a will.

The fact that the divorce occurred wouldn't invalidate his will entirely, though it might make his bequest to your mother invalid, depending on your state's laws.

If you are listed as an heir in the will, that won't change because of the divorce.
