What is the name of your state? FL

I gave birth to a child in 1972. I was then a minor, my parents (mother & stepfather) sent me to live with my birth father in 1973 when I became preganant again. I received letters in the mail stating that I was being charged with abandonment. My parents did not allow me to come home. I looked on my county's public records and did not see any documents available. I would like to know if they could have adopted her without my consent. Also, I would like to know what state or county agency I need to contact to find out any further information.

It really doesn't matter at this point. The "child" in question is now 34 years old. To find the correct answer to your question though, you will need to find someone that knows what the law was in 1973 in the state where the child lived at the time.
