adoption

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? new york- I was adopted at 1 year old, Im 51 now . Can I undopte myself and then open up my birth records from ny.

You can have whomever you wish adopt you, as an adult. But you cannot undo your legal parentage.

Adoptive parents ARE "real" parents. Sharing genes is not what makes you a "parent"!
