| You should be aware that your child doesn't have a legal father. Paternity will need to be established with the biological father. Then the biological father will be able to fight for a relationship with the child. Since you were not married and you did not pursue paternity, this child has no male parent. The courts will demand that the biological father is named, found, and tested to establish him as the father. Then if once established the man wants a relationship with his child, he will be able to pursue it. You are looking at a long hard road.

Parents should remember three things: Love your kids more than you hate your ex (or soon to be ex) & when you have children the relationship with the other parent is until death parts you & how you treat your children determines what type of nursing home you end up in. Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.
