Adoption for foreign adult who live in California

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? California

I'm 26 year old married and currently there is one family who would like to adopt me as their children. I'm a foreigner and have valid status as F-1 and my wife F-2. I have not been back to my country for 6 years.

I have known this family since i came to states in 1997. I got really close with this family because of "Don" sons does not really care about his father. Don is willing to support me and my wife but we are not sure what to do legally.

What is the law in california for adult adoption especially for foreigner? Can it be done? Anyone that has experience about this?

Help me please..ASAP. Thank you in advance.
