adoption help

undefinedWhat is the name of your state?Louisiana I left my first husband when our daughter was 7 weeks old due to domistic violence. I have sole custody of her and there is a permanet restraining order against him for the both of us. she is almost 6 now and wants to be adopted by her "daddy" with whom she has been with since she was 18 months. My ex didnt show up for custody or divorce. his family is pissed because she wants my last name..... in the custody papers the only way he could have any right to see her is if he had counceling for the family vilonce act, a mental evaluation, and something else that i cant think of, and then it would only be restricted supervised visation (almost 6 yrs and he hasnt done one thing to be able to see her) my husband treats her like she is his..... my ex is 36, has no job, is an alcoholic, lives with his dad who pays me money for karlee every 2 weeks. 1st time i mentioned my hubby adopting her he said hed kill me first... what rights do we have..... will adoption be hard????? she deserves our name, she deserves the best out of life.... and i will do everything in my power to that....
