What is the name of your state?IA My husband and I found the opportunity to adopt a child. Mom is in federal prison in TX and the child is due in December. She was charged in Iowa (drugs)and was moved to TX. She would like to sign over parental rights to my husband and me but we are afraid the state will take custody. Is there anything we can do before the child is born? FYI She has had other children that were put into the system as soon as they were born, but that was here in IA.
