we went through infertility treatments for 5 years with no luck so we decided to adopt,we called a agency in Delaware,we are in pennsylvania and they sent their social worker to see us,when she came out I told her about my past dui and also arrested for threats all over ten years ago. After 4 visits they approved us,we did our state clearences and every thing came back fine,we asked several times about the fbi checks and they said no need.Well 8 months later we get the call that a baby was just delivered, how ever there was drugs in his system,we went to De and that was it!we fell in love with him, after a week they let us take him.The next day we get a call telling us they now need the fbi checks and were also informed that they will take the baby from us if the state does not approve us.We are scared do death that they will remove our son from us.My question is this,do we have any recourse here or can we appeal the states ruling? please help us.and thank you,Jerry

I am wondering if you have any papers saying that they did not need a FBI check or papers saying the baby was yours or anything like that?
