adoption w/out consent?

Is it possible for a child to be adopted by their stepfather without the consent of the biological father? If not, can the child's last name be changed to that of the stepfather without consent from the father? Please respond. (Very improtant.)

If the bio Father will not consent to the adoption, your only alternative is to ty and have his rights terminated by a judge.

If the Father is on the birth certificate, then you cannot change the childs name without notifying the Father. If he wishes not to have the name changed, he will need to fight it.
