adult adoption

What is the name of your state? sc - i am interested in adopting an adult/child. this person is 18 years old and a college student. my family is very fond of this individual. by making them a legal member of our family, they would be entitled to all the benefits my other children, one biological and one adopted at birth, have, such a health, education etc. would the papers i need to file be similar to the ones i filed years ago for my adopted infant? if not, where could i get a dummy to follow? thanks for any help.
