After adoption

What is the name of your state? Indiana

Our step-parent adoption went through today and after reading through the paperwork I have a question. I realize the adoption now makes my husband the legal parent but the only thing in it about bio-father is it says that he was notified by certified mail and concented(actually by default by not answering). There's nothing that literally word for word says bio-father's rights are teminated. It might be stupid but should I have something that says that?

the only thing I ever received (in my state,of course) was the official adoption papers, stating my husband and I adopted.

I then used that to change the birth cert.

there is no mention of TPR.

congratulations!

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to finally have it all wrapped up?! I'm very happy for you & your family.
In our "Decree of Adoption" there was no mention of the TPR process either.

Thanks guys and yes it is a wonderful feeling. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something somewhere. I also thought it would be nice to send it to bio-dad as he told me a long time ago that he is and always would be their dad I wanted to show him that he was wrong.. (I know, a little vindictive... but figure it's my last shot).
