What is the name of your state? OK

Husband is American, I am a legal permanent resident (eligible to apply for citizenship, but haven't gotten around to it yet). We are going through DHS to adopt a child from the foster care system, but the adoption worker was unable to tell us (yet) if the fact of me not being a US citizen would pose a problem. While we don't believe this should be a problem, we would like to get a definite answer on this?

Thanks!
