Child Custody What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TennesseeIs there a way to sign over custody or temporary custody or even adoption without going before a judge and for little to no money? Just a parent signing over a child to a non parent. I have a friend that is a lesbian and was in a relationship with a girl that had an infant. My friend pretty much raised him to this point(he is 4 now) except for a short separation when they broke up. She has him now because his mother does not want him anymore. His mother lives out of state. My friend does not have money and would probably not be the ideal parent to the courts but she is the best place for him to be without a doubt. His mother had become abusive and my friend has his best interests in mind. Last edited by LoriJane; 03-10-2009 at 01:08 AM. Reason: more detail |

| The father and mother broke up before he was a month old and he was taken into states custody because of the father. His mother got him back because she left the father. The father has been pretty much out of his life since then but he is a pain in the ass. He likes to cause problems from time to time. Both parents are worthless. |
