Question

Criminal Record Waiting Time

What is the name of your state? Iowa

My husband and I are interested in Adoption. However, he has had some drug issues in the past. He has no felonies, but he has had some posession and paraphanelia charges.

What is the amount of time that we must wait before we are eligible to adopt? I have heard three years and also five but am not able to find the correct information anywhere.

Your best bet would be to speak with a local attorney who is well versed in adoption and related issues.
