My sister has power of attorney of my great neice who is 4 1/2 years old. She has been raising her since 9 months old. My sister is dying of cancer. The biological mother is in and out of jail for drugs and the like. Biological dad in the same predictament.
I do not want to see my neice in a foster home. How do I go about getting cutody of her. We cannot find the fiological mother who is my sister's daughter. I want to raise the little girl. My husband and I are financially and mentally able to do so. We are both 50 years old and raised our four children and have to know what to do.
