Equitable Adoption in Alabama

I'm currently researching Case law on Equitable Adoption in Alabama. Have you come upon any answers to your question? Does Equitable Adoption apply in Alabama?

I have not received an answer on whether equitqble adoption is appllicable in ALabama.

Equitable adoption is rarely recognized in Alabama and generally requires a finding of an intent to adopt.

Some cases to research..
Hanks v. Hanks, 281 Ala. 92, 99, 199 So. 2d 169, 176 (1967).
J.N.H. v. N.T.H., 705 So. 2d 448, 452 (Ala.Civ.App. 1997).

I will look at the recommended cases. Are there any federal guidelines or cases that may be applicable to "equitable adoption"?
