Fatherless Child AdoptionWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi I have searched the threads here, and have not found this situation. My new son-in-law wants to adopt his step-daughter (my grandchild). Her father is unknown. CSE does have a suspected father's name, but he has never been found. Embarrassingly, there are other candidates, that have never been contacted. The child is 6 years old. Can anyone direct my daughter to a web-site for information on requirements for this sort of adoption? This is not my decision, I just told her I would try to find info for them. Thank you |

| Thank you for the answer...and thank you for leaving out the obvious character attacks. I truely appreciate that. |
