Fathers rights? IMPORTANT

I am a teenager having my ex boyfriends child. Everything has been fine between the two of us until the news came up about him already having a daughter. I am only 16 and he is as well. We live in Minnesota.
My qeaustion is.... He did NOT sign any papers signing his rights over as the father to the people the girl who had his child adopted the baby to. My Ex boyfriend wants his rights back as the father and didn't find out that this was really his child till just a couple days ago. Is there anything he can do to get those rights back. The baby is now almost a year old. An has been in the foster home since she was born.

If there is no one who can give me knowledgeable advice, does anyone know a sight I can go to, to look up more articles about what he can do.

I am in your same situation. I have given my baby up for adoption and now the birthfather, who has not signed away his rights, wants the baby back. He is 19 and I am 17. I don't know everything, but I do know that the lawyers are trying to take away his rights to the baby. I guess that can happen in some states. This is all happening in Virginia. I know that laws vary form state to state, but in Arkansas (atleast back in 1990) if the father was not present to sign the birth certificate his name would not be on there, unless you were married of course. So that is how my son birth certificate is. So I can change his last name or my husband can adopt him with only my consent. Sadly most teenage guys don't want a baby and they are not there. It is a sad thing but it happens.
