grandparent adoption

louisiana....my daughter is pregnant and she does not want the baby, my new wife and i would like to adopt it. do we have to go through the courts or can we file the papers in the courts with legal advice?

Yes, you DO have to go through the courts.

But you do not have to have an attorney, if you're willing to research the adoption laws in your state, prepare your own documents and see the process through to the end.
