If a biological parent gives up his/her rights, is it legal for parent and child to have contact later on? Child is 16 now and they met by coincidence and are communicating regularly.

It's only illegal if the other parent, adoptive parent's or legal guardian disagree with it and refuse to allow it or there is a legal document stating no contact.

i feel ya....

I understand your situation, my husband signed away his rights to his children 10 years ago but has been in contact with them, well now that the mother is mad that something didnt go her way she has decided to keep them away once again. I understand that he has no legal rights and that it is only by her consent that he is allowed contact, but how can someone do that to their children.
