legality of step-parent adoption

What is the name of your state? michigan

I was adopted by man I thought was my mother's husband in 1973. Recently found out he was actually married to another woman when he adopted me. My mother and he presented themselves as married to the probate court where the adoption occured. He was not and is not a nice man. Birth father willing to help me reverse adoption. What are my options if step-father was not married to my mother at the time of the adoption? Can I get the adoption reversed?
