parent with Aids

My husband and my self have been asked to adopt a little girl age 2. Her dad has Aids and wants to make sure she is taken care of when he dies. He raises she alone, the mother is on drugs. Where do we start. What legal advice can you share. Thanks Shelly

You need to consult with an attorney in California. Many offer free initial consultations.

If you plan to do it yourself, which I don't advise, you need to do some serious research at either the library or buy some books at the bookstore.
