My sons biological fathers Parental rights were revoked and 3 days later my husband Legally adopted him. Does he have the right to appeal and for how long is that door open?

Ok, more details. The biological father is in prison for 31 years to life, for abuse of a minor, and abuse of a child under 8 resulting in death. My husband went to court, we went through a trial to have the biologial fathers parental rights revoked, then my husband adopted my son. I understand that even through an appeal the likihood of him winning is very minimal, but I would just like to know how long he has to try to appeal. Thanks!!
