paternal grandmother rights? post adoption

I reside in the state of California. I adopted a child 2 years ago who is currently 3++ Today I was advised through the mail that the paternal grandmother who has never had any relationship with her is asking the court for visitation. I have had nothing but trouble with this lady in the past? ( I think she might think my daughter is placed in my home under a guardianship, which she was initially.) Should I show my adoption papers to her attorney? I was told this was a private affair between my family and the birth parents?
