What is the name of your state? Arizona

I just completed a hearing for modification to child visitation. The Judge awarded legal fees to my lawyer in the amount of $2600.00. I got a bill from my lawyer saying his total fee's amount to $3500.00. I've already paid him $1700.00 dollars.

My lawyer is now telling me that since my ex refuses to pay the $2600.00 the court says he is suppose to pay, I have to pay the rest of the $3500.00.

Is this right? It seems to me that my lawyer should be responsible to make my ex pay, after all the judge awarded the fee's to him, not me.

Help:confused:
