What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC

My first husband passed away and we had a four year old son. I ended up remarrying and about a year and a half ago my new husband adopted my son who was 7 at the time. I have since found out that my new husband has some issues with an addiction to internet pornography. Evidently this problem has been present for most of our marriage but I was not made aware of it until about 6 months ago. We are not getting divorced and are trying to work things out however in the event that things don't work out I was wondering if there was a way to reverse the adoption based on the fraud and deception of the situation?

No, you can't.

There are no do overs. Your son has a father ~ a father you chose for him.

Can you prove that you weren't made aware of these things earlier?

(I do realize the question is moot because regardless, your answer is still "no", but it might illustrate how difficult it will be to prove deception and fraud)

Perhaps more to the point though, if these things are so bad that you would wish to have Dad's rights effectively terminated you might want to ask yourself why it's "OK" for Dad to be Dad as long as you work things out between you. But it's not OK for him to be Dad if your relationship fails?

Surely his fitness to be a father isn't dependent upon whether or not your marriage fails?
