What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
I was adopted by my stepfather when I was 14 and I am now 36 and wish to reverse the adoption and go back to my original birth name, My real father passed away when I was 12. What do I need to do to accomplish this and get back my original birth certificate and name, Me and my stepfather do not get along and I truly regret this

Why reversal?

You don't need to reverse the adoption in order to get your name changed. You can do that legally and change it to anything you want. If you don't get along with your stepfather - just wipe him out of your life. It's as simple as that.
