step-parent adoption

What is the name of your state? AZ
My son is passed away is May of 2000, and left a child. He former wife is now married and wants her new husband to adopt my son's child. I am very much against this. Do I as the biological grandparent have any legal right.

Nope, none at all. You may, however, have a case for visitation since your son is deceased. Speak with a family law attorney in your area.
