Step-parent Adoption

i live in ga. and have a son whose biological father is prison for child molestation.He has already served 10 yrs. with 10 to go. I was urged by the probate judge in my county to write him and reguest he relinquish his paternal rights and received no response.The judge then urged me to let my son (who is now 14) to write his bf and ask to relinquish his rights. My son also received no response.I have been married to the same man for 10 yrs. and he has raised my son since he was 3 yrs. old. I need to find info on any rights my son could have on his behalf, or any rights my husband may have in successfully adopting. This is important due to the factors that my son is very embarassed to who and what the bf did. There has been absolutely no contact from the bf or his family since 1990. Please help me.
