step-son

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

hello, i am looking to adopt my step son, trying to do it without a lawyer to save money. this will not be contested, i will assure u of that. father has done zilch in last 6 years. how can i find the proper paper work and rules on adopting my son without a lawyer.

I would urge you to use an attorney. Adoption is not a do-it-yourself project. If a single i isn't dotted or a t is left uncrossed, the entire thing could be declared invalid - even years in the future. It would be money well spent.
