I live in California and I wish to adopt my wifes daughter. The father does not appear on her birth certificate and has never contested it. My question is does he we still need him to sign a waiver or not ?
I'm not sure about California law, but I live in South Dakota & my father adopted my sister. Beings her father's name wasn't on the birth certificate, no waver was needed. Call your court house
