Stepson adoption in Oregon

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

I married in 2006. My wife is from the Philippines and she, along with her son born in 2004 are here with me in the US since 4/2007, on a spousal visa. We have successfully removed conditions and they both have ten year visas at this time. My wife is the only parent listed on her son's birth certificate. I want desparately to adopt this boy however have not been successful in locating legal assistance in support of this effort. I am hoping for some feedback providing us insight into what this journey might consist of and an estimated cost and timeline, along with possibly a recommendation for legal counsel we can work with to get the process underway.

Thanks much in advance,

Where was the son born? (just to clarify)

I suspect that you will (at some point) need to deal with the Philippine government. You really need an attorney for this.

Zigner,
I expected to need to consult/work with legal counsel. My more direct question is seeking a reference towards an attorney that may have experience with handling adoptions similar to my situation.

Thank you

Sorry, we don't provide referrals.
