Termination of Parental RightsWhat is the name of your state? Texas. Have had temporary custody of a child for over a year now and want to adopt. Biological parents recently signed papers to terminate their rights. (Signed on 12/4/04.) Question: How long do they have to change their minds? The order that was submitted to Judge said mother and father have executed an unrevoked or irrevocable affidavit of relinquishment of parental rights as provided for by chapter 161 of TX Family Code, if that info. helps any to answer this question. Thank you for your help. |

| This is a very state specific question and you need an attorney to help you with this.
