She'd need to be married for a while before attempting to TPR and adopt. Paternity can be done at any time before any of that.

our case was very similar to yours. We lived together for four years, got married one day and went to a lawyer the next. Our lawyer filed a petition to adopt and the judge eventually waived the time of marriage requirement since we had lived as a family for those four years.
In Indiana the biological father has 30 days to respond to the petition. If he fails to responed his consent is said to be established.
There was also a paternity hearing and a paternity test. If biodad fails to participate (which in your case sounds likely) it goes much easier for you.
It is a process that needs a good lawyer. We had a consultation for only $50 and it was well worth it.

Thank you for giving me some input other than "talk to a lawyer" or "you're a stupid whore". I appreciate someone taking some real time to voice their own experience. Aside from this reply, everyone on here seems to be a little bit on the @$$ side... and I really regret seeking advice on this board.

You have been repeatedly told what you LEGALLY (not based on someone else's personal experience which means nothing to YOUR case) have to do, so be grateful that you didn't have to pay a penny for that information instead of burning the resource (which will get you zero help next time).
