Termination of rights - we won!

What is the name of your state? PA
I wanted to share our exciting news since I've used this resource before for information. I've gotten excellent feedback from some of you - although one person told me we wouldn't win.
Got the call a few hours ago and the birth father's parental rights have been terminated! I know it's very hard to terminate rights when the other party contests but we did prove our case. He had 3 1/2 years and never once went to the courthouse to file for visitation. He never once sent a card, tried to contact us at my parents house..... I believe the person who said we'd lose said so becuase I never called the birth father when I moved (even though it was witing the same city). Our lawyer subpoened the head of the Domestic Relations dept and she stated my address was public, all the birth father had to do was go down there and ask for it. Plus my parents address, phone number has never changed (he used to contact them before for visitation - before he stopped).

Anyway, sorry for the rambling.... I'm very excited and I wanted to say thank you for those who gave good advice.
Anyone can be a father but only a real man can be a true dad, which is what my husband is.... he's an excellent father and I'm so grateful that it'll be legal as well.

Congrats!! It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it.

I went through your post to remember the situation and see who it was that said you wouldn't win. Somehow I wasn't surprised...
