What can I do?

I was adopted in Virginia and still live in Va. My biological father lives in Tennessee, and my Biological mother is in Va. I have been told by several members of my mothers family that my father has several children by another woman, and I want to know if this is true and if it is, I think I have the right to know these other children.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what my state will allow when it comes to releasing information, and if it requires him to release the information I know that he won't. Is there any possibility for me to know these siblings if they exist?

My biological father was abusive and an alcoholic, and on top of everything he has returned anything that social services has sent him in the past unopened. I know enough information about him that I could find him if I wanted to, but I have the question of legality hanging over me. Is there anyone out there that can help me?
