7 month marriage ending

What is the name of your state? tn
my husband of 7 months has told me we are getting a divorce and i will be served with an eviction notice in the am.

i worked two jobs prior to meeting him, in another state. he moved me and my two children here, and requested that i not work outside the home, but that i help him run his business. i do this but have applied for my tn lpn license so that i may work. (i have to ask for everything)

my question is what financial rights do i have being that i have not worked during this time? what claim do i have to property aquired during this time?(a car, a pool, anew trailer, and an addition to the shop.) can he be made to give me a certain amount of money to get me restarted, or am i totally on my own, without a dime. i do get child support for my children which purchases most of their needs, he rarely spends any money on things they need. please help

You've likely got a claim to half the assets gained during the marriage. And he isn't responsible for paying for anything your kids need, since they're not his.

Just a side note for you. I purchased some land in TN before marrying. I recently sold it. I have had had it for over ten years but the name it was bought under was my maiden name and prior to getting married. When I sold it the attorney still made my husband sign to sell also because he said he did not want him to be able to come back and claim part of it at a latter date.

I am not an attorney but from what I was told even if it was bought before marriage he still had a claim on it. So under those circumstances I would definitely think you could get something.
