My friend is getting a divorce and he was caught with having an affair as well as having a child with his girlfriend. He wants to get the divorce, but is afraid of what his wife can do to him in court, particularly with what will happen with the house they have. He does not want to pay for the house while she lives in it. What are his options and chances of not getting it all stuck to him during the courts?

A lot depends on how long they've been married, whether there are kids, whether she's worked or stayed home, and so on. Generally speaking, having an adulterous relationship isn't going to weight too heavily against him. But it isn't something he'll be patted on the back over, either.
