alimony

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida. Ex- husband ordered to pay permanent alimony. Payments are erratic and never on time. How do I file a motion for a hearing. Married and divorced in florida , but I am now a resident of virginia.

Define better what you mean by erratic and never on time. Are you at least receiving them within the month they are due? If so, the best you can hope for is that he gets a slap on the wrist from the judge.

Does your ex still live in FL?
If so, and he is in arrears at least 30 days, you can file a motion for civil contempt, form 12.960 and 12.961. You can find the forms at [url=http://www.flcourts.org]Florida State Courts[/url]
