AlimonyI've been married to my wife since January, 1998. We've been seperated since July, 1998. She was working throughout the whole marriage. Now, that we're finally getting a divorce, she's trying to make me pay Alimony. Do I have to pay Alimony ? |

| I don't know how it works in Texas, but in Indiana, spousal maintenance is generally not ordered unless there is a HUGE disparity in income or unless the wife became disabled during the marriage. This is the year 2002. Women and men who can work should work -- and the courts generally make decisions based on that given. Of course it's her right to ask for it, but just because she asks does NOT mean she's going to get it. |
