Question

Alimony after cohabitation

What is the name of your state? Alabama
Couple married 1979.
Divorced in 1990.
Ex-Wife allowed to stay in home for 6 months, then ordered to leave and ex-husband may return.
Ex-Wife never leaves and ex-husband moves back in after 6 months.
He doesn't pay ordered alimony because they are living and cohabitating together as husband and wife. They do this for the next 7 years until 1997.
She gets ill in 1997 and goes to hospital and then moves in with HER daughter (not his daughter)
He started giving exwife money when she went to live with her daughter and continued giving at about 50% of original alimony amount until the present. He also insured a car he gave her on his policy until the present. She hasn't drivin in several years. But the daughter drives it. Ex-wife has been very ill and will probably die soon. Her daughter is threatening to sue him for alimony from the divorce in 1990 to the present. Is this possible.
Just trying to help a friend.

What the daughter ever a party to the divorce? Does she have power of attorney for her mother? If the answer is no, then she's blowing smoke.
