Alimony amount? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? For California: Husband applying for reduction due to loss of employment. Husband's Income at time of original alimony Order: $10,000 per month Spousal Support ordered at that time: $3,081 per month. Husband's Current Income (includes unemployment insurance: $4,850 per month Husband's Income when unemployment insurance benefits cease: $2,850 per month plus an as yet unknown amount of his company pension. Wife unable to work (63 and in ill health) Two questions: 1. What might the Court award while Husband earns $4,850 per month? 2. What might the Court award while Husband earns $2850 per month? Need this info quickly. Thanks so much. Sheryl Dunn |

| There is no guideline, so no one can tell you. It's completely up to the judge. However, I wouldn't be depending on your soon to be ex husband to support you. At some point, you'll need to look into other options. I'd also question how he is receiving ANY unemployment benefits from EDD (if they are being received from EDD) if he has $2850 in income. That's not allowed.
