alimony and cash payment settlement in minnesota

i live in minnesota and my ex soon to be divorced, i think, left me last March of 2000, in june 2000 he got fired from a 40000 a year job, went on unemployment and I paid medical premiums and the like which he had done before. all along he gave me every bill that needed to be paid, now in the end he got a job at 9.00 an hour and a 40 hr work week, so before he took home 1000 every two weeks and now alonly takes home 180 a week. would a judge in minnesota say he is willfully under employed or will he actually get by with it, I want to reserve alimony cuz maybe some day he will earn more, but as of now we both earn about the same so i get zero zilch natha......ya know what i mean maybe 250 a month for child support for another year till my son graduates. so what can i do, also to equalize assets he owes me around 20000 and he doenst want to give that tome till th epreoceeds from our house are there, and it could be a year or more b4 it is sold, so then what.. is there a law that i can get my money now, come on, thats not fair. he wants me to pay him rent every month, and no one is even making the house payments, its just sitting there. i wnat to move on and look at a house to get but i feel i cant even do that cuz of him not giving me the settlemtnt money. help he please also he took out 500o out of a life insurance polocy in november and i feel that showld be in the assets too but the lawyers didnt put it in and i also feel that becuz his 401 k lost value doe to the markets it was at 100000 and now its 90000, a dorp of 10000 dollars and that sucks too. please reply to jerryi@prairie.lakes.com thanks.
