Alimony,cohabitation,Disability

Ohio, I was found to have a heart, lung illness, (pph) I was told less then 2 years to live. My husband of 18 years left due to the illness. We were granted a divorce in 1999 after 4 years of living apart. My exhusband that has a income of about $100,000 a year was ordered to pay Alimony for life or my remarrage. No terms about cohabitation, my support order was set at 1800 a month. I then after 2 years was able to get on SSI of a total of $700.00 a month. He took be back to court and was ordered to pay$800.00 a month due to the fact I am on SSI. I was placed on a new drug from the Cleveland Clinic that has prolonged life (I still have the illness and each day is borrowed) I now have a man living with me he has his own job and pays his own way. I go to court Nov 1,my ex wants to end support after 6 years on a life order do to the fact I now live with someone. Can he do this and if not where can I find that in Ohio, cohabitation is not looked at in court. The court does retain jurisdiction on the order. Is there a clear cut rule in ohio about cohabitation. or is each case up to the courts Thank you Kim

From your post, it sounds as if the court retained jurisdiction over modifying spousal support.

Whethere the court changes it or not is something I do not know the answer to.
