alimony and contemptWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? florida if you have several contempts orders against ex for arrears in alimony before you remarry are they still good. Or is there a length of time contempts are only good for. And in Fl does the contempt after i was married impose a problem since there where several before. |

Your ex was court ordered to pay alimony, has not done so and has been found in contempt several times, correct? Your court order states that alimony will cease upon your remarriage, correct? You want to know if the arrears will still be owed, and collectible after you remarry, correct? If this is correct, yes the arrears will still be owed and collectible. Of course that is only for arrears accrued from before your remarriage. |
