Alimony/Spousal Div of Child Support Enforcement

Prince William County, VA-- Recently Sold hse, split mutual funds with exwife--paid all past alimony/spousal support--I have the agreement which stated all past alimony/spousal support was paid in full and I was current--which we both signed and had notarized. Rec'd notice from Div of child support enforcement which states I am in arrears of 4k--I have all my documentation stating otherwise. She is still trying to "milk me" even though I am compliant --do i need to get another lawyer--

If you were paying thru c/s/e there is a little clause in there that says not to make payments thru anyone else but c/s/e or else it will be considered a gift...
Your notorized statement can't change that, it has to be an order from the court.

Thanks KAT for your response! My initial order to pay Was thru the courts--I have always paid her directly for 17 months now--it was never stated nor denoted to pay thru the system--although from henceforth on I will pay thru them. I have been compliant and she is being decitful --and i aam tired of it--what can i do to rid myself of her sneaky crazed filipino money grubbin antics--I was paying her directly and I ma just fearful she scheme something else up --What can a person like me do--and I am COMPLIANT

I have no idea...I just shake my head you know...these women are allowed to get away with anything. Check your credit report, I bet the arrears is already listed. Good luck trying to get it taken off..owed or not, they won't release it only change the amount currently owed to zero. I've been fighting this same thing for my husband for 2 years and I'm going to keep on doing it.
Have you sent the notorized statement to C/S/E? Try that first.

If your ex wife can be nice and yes some of of can... If you can prove what she's given you she can sign a paper with the cs office to verify that she received it. My ex gave me money outside the court and although for one it was only $323 and he's only given me about $1300 in over two years I thought for a second or two not reporting it because I know he doesn't have the proof that he did.... However my guilt got the better of me and I took the steps to report it for him and signed the paper.
