Can I file contempt forms in another county?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

My support has not been paid to me in over 3 months. I am no longer living in the county where the divorce proceedings were filed and the support orders were issued.

Is it possible to start enforcement proceedings and/or contempt filings in my current county of residence? I moved from Imperial County to San Diego County a year ago.

Is there any govt. enforcement branch that will help me pursue the past-due payments?

Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer to me.

A little history:

He lives in Arizona now and he was living in Arizona when I filed for divorce.

Neither one of us lives in Imperial county now.

He was served and appeared before the Imperial County court. That was where the spousal support order was issued.

A wage assignment order was filed about 3 years ago, and the judge agreed that it was needed because he had fallen about 4 months behind. He was ordered to pay the arrears along with the current support.

Back to my current situation:

If I am able to use the local court it would help me considerably. If I cannot, I will have to catch a bus to the El Centro Court.

He has once again stopped making his payments.

I will file a contempt complaint, along with a whatever else I need to file, in order to get the support payments coming in again.

I apologize for not replying directly to your post originally.

Unless the case has been transferred to where you are now, you will have to file in Imperial County.
