can new wife's assests be garnished or her accounts frozen ?


What is the name of your state?NY
i am in arrears for child support,and am recently remarried to a nonUS citizen. we are living in texas. can my wife's bank account or personal assests be attached by NY child support? I have no personal assests and am currently an unemployed physician(because NY has suspended my license due to back child support(?logic).thank you in advance.

You actually expect us to believe that you worked as a physician until your license got suspended and you have NO assets?.....and that you couldn't afford to pay your child support?

Under normal circumstance's your wife's property or accounts could not be frozen or attached for child support. However, if it can be demonstrated that you transferred assets into your wife's name in order to "hide" them....then that changes things.

I would recommend that you hire yourself an attorney and start negotiating.

negotiating arrears,etc


would I need a NY or out-of state Attorney to negotiate the arrears?
