Question

Child support

What is the name of your state? CA

Briefly: divorce final June 95- no child support payments until Jan 96. Payments $200 short every mos.(just now noticed-going back to court) 2kids involved. 1 is now over 18 the other just made 17
Aug 97 payments cut to $100 short(older daughter moved w/ dad to grad in CA) I'm in MI divorce filed in CA (just so ur not confused) 2nd daughter moved w/ dad 99. Of course naturally payments stop because they are no longer in my custody but no changes have been made to paperwork. 1st daughter now on her own 2nd daughter back w/ me in MI June 02 No support payment for 2nd daughter until last week-Jan 03. My question is am I going to be paid any backpay from june 95 to jan 96 and june 02 to jan 03 including all the money from when payments were short???? Concerned

It would be my guess that he still owed you since it was not court ordered for him to quit making payments..

it's also my guess, if he quit making scheduled payment for the amount ordered, he still owes that as well..... he can not just reduce the payments on his own without a court order...

you need to call your local child support enforcement agency and have them investigate your claim...JMO...

Concerned:

sounds more desperate to me.. why did you wait so long??

he can not just cut payment in half or at all on his own it should show him in the arrears...
